Harro Motorsports
Team Loses Their Father & Thier Poppop
The Harro family motorsports team lost one of the most important pieces of our successful racing team. Brice's Poppop, Paul Harro. Poppop was along for the ride in Brice's 5 1/2 years of Go Kart racing from day one back in September of 2002, until his sad passing on August 20th, 2008. His illness kept him from the speedway and the race team for the three weeks leading to his unfortunate passing. Even through the pain of his illness, he'd find strength in his heart to fight off the pain for a few hours to enjoy watching Brice race. Many times they'd have to leave the grounds for comfort of thier home, but not before Brice made his way back to the pit area for the weekly congratulatory, "high five" from Poppop.
Paul & Bev, parents of Brice's Dad, loyaly traveled with the race team to support Brice in every event in Brice's young career. Weather it was across the state at a State race event, or the year ending awards banquet in Harrisburg, they were proudly there. Rain, sleet, snow, 100 degree summer heat, nor poppop's illness over the years would keep them away from watching their grandson race in competition. A Grandfather and Grandmothers respect and proudness of a grandson that was, and still is, second to none. You will be missed Dad. We Love You.

She also heads the helmet strapping and seatbelt fastening department. Brice's sister Caitlin is, and always will be his number 1 fan. Brice picked up where he left off in 2007. On top. He bested a tough group of fourteen carts to earn his first win of the year on opening day of the 2008 season. But following week 1, wins have been hard to come by. But top 3's are'nt. And when your thinking, "Big Picture Racing", top three finishes are required. With thirteen races completed at Raceway Park this year, Brice has ten top three finishes. He currently sits in second place in the point standings within striking distance of the top spot.
Brice's solid runs this season have all been credited to him as the driver. Racers need some luck as well as talent, but so far this season, there has been no luck dished out towards the Iceman. Harro Motorsports feels very good about where they stand in the points to date, knowing the cards have been stacked against Brice for the past few months with many unfortunate on track calls.
Needless to say, the racing in the Rookie Cage 9-12 class in 2008 has been very competitive and exciting to watch from the pits, grand stands, and even the scoring tower.
